My Journey from Discrimination to Inspiration
💔 From discrimination to inspiration. In 2024, after facing discrimination because of my wheelchair, I found a new path—writing books. Writing became my salvation, my source of strength, and my way of sharing my story of struggle. This isn't just my story; it's inspiration for anyone searching for light in the darkness. #Resilience #Inspiration #KostyantynKuusk

📖 How I Found My Calling Through Pain and Loss
2022 was a turning point for me. Poland, which welcomed me after the war began, gave me a sense of security and faith in a better future. In 2023, I was even working, and my wheelchair wasn't an obstacle for my employers. I felt needed; I was part of a society that supported me.
But in 2024, that reality began to crack. I started looking for a new job, hoping to be of service to people again. However, the Poland that had once been so open and welcoming suddenly changed. Discrimination because of my wheelchair became my daily reality. More than 500 employers closed their doors on me, without even trying to understand what I was capable of.
💔 This situation broke me. I felt like a burden, an outsider in a world that had previously welcomed me with open arms. The daily rejections left scars on my heart that wouldn't heal so easily.
But one day, when it felt like the darkness was about to consume me completely, I made a decision: I would not give up. To keep depression at bay, I picked up a pen and paper. At first, it was just an attempt to distract myself, to find an outlet for my emotions. But with every word, with every page I wrote, I felt a light begin to ignite within my soul.
✨ I started writing books.
Writing became a form of transformation for me. It was my protest against discrimination, my voice in a world that is often silent. Through my books, I share my experience, my pain, and the hope I found even in the darkest of times.
💬 What did this experience change?
It made me stronger.
It gave me purpose when I had none.
It taught me that even in the pitch dark, there is a ray of light.
My books are more than just words. They are a testament to the fact that no one and nothing has the right to strip us of our dreams or our right to live. This is my fight for equality, for the right to be heard.
I don't know if I've won for good. But I know one thing: I will keep writing. For those who are fighting. For those who are searching for strength. For myself.
